A true story of World war i…

When Siegfried Sassoon, a wounded soldier-poet and war hero, learns how politics are prolonging the war, he announces his refusal to return to action, hoping to provoke a public courts-martial. But his closest friend, the brilliant and irascible poet Robert Graves interferes — a betrayal driven by love, jealousy and ambition — and Sassoon is sent to a mental hospital for shell-shocked soldiers.
