Patricia Cerreto
Patricia Cerreto, MS, PA-C is an Assistant Professor in the School of Physician Assistant Studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. Before pursuing a career in academia, Patricia practiced as a physician assistant in cardiology for over eleven years. Patricia received her Bachelor of Arts from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts . She completed post-baccalaureate classes at the University of Pennsylvania and obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Arcadia University. Patricia is dedicated to teaching the ”heart of medicine” to her students, whether it be on the topic of cardiology or patient centered care. She is a certified relationship centered care facilitator with the Academy of Communication in Healthcare. She is also a certified provider of the ”SMART” (Stress Management and Resiliency Training) program with the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has also completed several training programs at the Center for Healthy the Center for Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin. Currently, her primary interest surrounds integrating patient communication and mind body medicine skills into the PA program curriculum to help cultivate empathy, compassion, and resilience to burnout in PA students.
